Amy Smart is an American former model and actress. She was born and raised in California USA she started her modeling professional career in Italy. Her first role as an actor was in the TV production Her Costly Affair. It was a long road to get her into Starship Troopers in a smaller character. Amy struggled to make the shift to acting as models were not considered as an actor, so they usually got less parts. However, Amy did not give up and began to take on more prestigious roles. It all started with the series The 70s and the film Varsity Blues. Amy later stepped into lead roles in the romance film Just Friends starring Ryan Reynolds. Amy was finally recognized for the role she had been chasing since the age of 10. She went on doing some major films such as the Crank series with Jason Statham and the series Shameless in which she was the well-loved character of recurring.
